With My Own Two Wheels sold out the Lobero Theater (680 seats) for its World Premiere at the 2011 Santa Barbara International Film Festival! Big thanks to Bici Centro for running an awesome bike valet, Telegraph Brewing Company for the after party beverages, and Santa Barbara Middle School for packing the house and organizing 50 students and parents to ride to the theater.

Nominee – 2011 Fund for Santa Barbara Social Justice in Documentary Film Award
The Fund for Santa Barbara's Social Justice Award for Documentary Film is awarded annually during the Santa Barbara International Film Festival to a film that makes a particularly valuable contribution to advancing social justice. This is the twelfth consecutive year that The Fund for Santa Barbara has partnered with the Santa Barbara International Film Festival to recognize the role that documentary film can play in advancing social, economic and environmental justice work.
Judith Lee Stronach Baccalaureate Prize – UC Berkeley
With My Own Two Wheels was a recipient of the 2010 The Judith Lee Stronach Baccalaureate Prize. The Prize supports intellectual and creative pursuits that heighten awareness of issues of social consciousness and the public good. The award gives bright, ambitious students the opportunity to extend and reflect upon their undergraduate work at Berkeley by undertaking a special project after their graduation. Winning projects are creative in the broadest sense, explore themes of significant interest to holders of the Prize, and strive to further understanding of what constitutes humane and effective participation in our worldwide community.

Official Recognition for Pedal=Sight
Pedal=Sight, a documentary short featuring the character Bharati from the feature length documentary With My Own Two Wheels, was recently awarded the Dan Eldon Activist Award at the 2010 My Hero Film Festival. The award is given in honor of activist, artist and photo journalist Dan Eldon who was killed at the age of 22 while working in Somalia. Each year the award is presented to the short film that best addresses the theme of activism.

Pedal=Sight was named a finalist in the LinkTV ViewChange Online Film Contest. ViewChange Film Contest is an online competition to find powerful new stories about the progress being made in achieving the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. These short videos raised awareness, inspired action, and accelerated the worldwide movement to reduce extreme poverty by 2015.
